This is a piece that definitely meets the goal of 'extremely dramatic'. One thing to note, however, is that if you're going to want people to listen to an entire piece, give them reason to do so. Starting out big and grand is fine, but if you're starting out so big and grand that nobody listens to the entire thing, you may want to think about restructuring your piece.
That said, I liked it, and didn't really see a reason to change it.

Solid, epic feeling to most of the music. The overt violins near the end remind me of parts of the Serenity score.

I had this playing for 2 and a half hours... and didn't realize it. Awesome music to keep up with.
